I met a Colombian woman online about 8 years ago in NYC. Within a few weeks I was curious about how quickly she wanted me to come with her to visit Colombia, Medellin no doubt. I never did travel with her and we split after about 4 months.

@dernvader6876 Let me spell it out for you since reading comprehension is difficult. She lived in NYC, we met and dated, however, within 2 weeks of starting to date proper she floated me meeting her in Colombia as she was making a trip down there. I turned it down as that was way too soon. The suggestion that I fly our there to meet her also set off red flags.

@GUITARTIME2024 Who knows. I worked at a large bank at the time so that did go through my head every time she suggested a trip down there.

A friend suggested retiring to Portugal. I looked up Portugal and under a lot of videos there are Portuguese people telling Americans they don't want them in their country because Americans make it worse for the locals whereever they go i.e. Inflating prices and making it difficult for the locals to own homes, etc. So yeah, passport bros are a problem, especially the stupider ones among them.
