Confirmed bachelor here. I don't even bother with them anymore. I have my pets and have no shortage of projects to do and hobbies including travelling to visit friends all over the world.

@asparrow9876 My next door neighbor keeps reminding me that she lives next door. Pretty sure she's wondering why I NEVER take her up on things. I stupidly borrowed a post hole driver from her and after a couple of days she was on my case to return it texting me over and over again. I returned it and bought my own, Jeez. Even when you're not in a relationship they give you grief.

@jesshorn257 I don't miss the a-holes in NYC/Manhattan at all. The thought of going down there again and dealing with all that nonsense makes my skin crawl. You enjoy the peace too, there is no substitute.

@jesshorn257 I live in the countryside far from any cities. I decided to retire also because I was tired of listening to the whinny lefties at work. It has been a year and the biggest adjustment is to pace myself and make the best use of my time and the new freedom. The pets love it - they are never more than a few feet from me.

That is good to hear. All the people that were my neighbors had horrific destructive divorces before they are forced to move out and move away. I also happen to be the only single dude in my neighborhood. When we have get togethers the married guys always say that if they were to do it again they would not get married.
