  1. Just look at computers and the internet. The public taxes paid for decades of government and military research thus creating them. After decades of research & development were individuals able to capitalize off the new technology. And what did we get? The chance to purchase a personal computer, Macintosh, or smart phone from multi-billion tech oligarchs. And for all those “you complain on a phone or computer and hate capitalism” please be that dumbass. I just explained how the tech was publicly funded and yet isn’t for the public. Innovation comes from resources directed at people who have abilities and knack for creativity, not profits. Case and point the scientists funded to do what they’re interested in, who likely never saw money like the Jobs and Gates of the world.

People called Obama Communist. Social Democrats call themselves Socialists. It only undermines the ideology and it’s history. Sorry if I sound a stick in the mud but it’s important to me.
