@archlittle6067 You forget that The Ukraine will have about 0.5 to 1.0 million more men by then, and western weapons. They are mass mobilizing, while Putin don`t even have clean none rusty guns for their conscripts. The only reason Russia managed to get close to Kiev was because they surprised them, and they failed spectacularly, they didn`t get close to achieving defendable positions nesar the capital. No, Russia do not have the money to pay it`s workers to build more artiller than they wear out from shelling forests and evacuated cities in the Donbas and Luhansk reagion, 1000 shells and a barrel needs a new liner, a barrel is not forever.

Crimea is the least of their conserns, Donetsk and Luhansk are the real goals, full of oil,gas and metals. Not to mention several millions of Ukrainians. Crimea is just a Marine base and a gateway.

@RonJohn63 Moscow St. Petersburg is subzidised by cheap gas, oil etc. from Siberia and the Caucasus, without that they will decay, so they would not be very Sucessful, only in the short term.

As they cannot even change the tires on their trucks there is little to support they maintained their Nukes, nukes need to be maintained, the cores go bad after a couple of years, the explosives too, and it all has to be very very precise to go off with high yield. Too bad Russia is out of Artillery pieces, they even reached out to North Korea to aquire more, as they have worn out their current pieces barrels by firing at random. Putins Soviet stockpiles where not as large as previously though, most had been scrapped or left to rust away.

@archlittle6067 China doesn`t wanna be blamed for selling arms to Russia, also they need to grow their own military to compete with the US, Iran already have a lot of oil, Syria doesn`t have artillery to spare and Belarus is also too poor to have much to spare. Russia is fucked, people are not getting paid, they cannot travel as they used to and people are scared of being drafted and their loved ones being drafted. Putin is a sitting duck.
