He didn`t, he just wanted to Ukraine to be free, and not a puppet of Putin....Putin got emotional and sent his poor troops to die...now Russia suffers the consequenses, and so does Ukraine, but Ukraine at least fights for a rightous cause...the right of freedom of choice as a soverign country!

@s.s.p.7357 Because Russia still wanted to steal back their lost land. And Nato is a defence alliance, not a government, so they retain their soverignty. Ukraine still has a democratic government, Russia tried to remove them in 2014 but failed. Putin turned Russias government into a Nazi regime slowly, now they throw all the opposition into prisons and jail anyone that speaks out either against him or the war. Russia never brought any freedom to Ukraine, they killed millions of Ukrainians in holdomor...Russians do not care about Ukrainians, they just want to steal their land...greedy thiefs. Russia could never do it to Mexico as they are too far away, All the US did was invite them to NATO, and encurage them to not give in to Russian threats and harassment. Russia is the real vampire, sucks its people dry and bites all its neighboors! They even send vampires into other countries to bite their people...

Yugoslavia was a powderkeg to begin with and Afghanistan had their Talibans who just destroyed their own country. Now did US make mistakes? The difference is that Russia has no free press, jailes people who speak out, poison those who flee and bomb hundreds of times more civilians....it is not remotely on the same scale, and the US has never permanently occupied Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Korea, Japan or Libya...Russia intends to permanently enslave and claim Ukraine as their own, while exterminating ukrainian culture....the US has never done this in modern times.
