  11. So why then are human eyes the most sensitive to 4000-5000 kelvin light? Not the <2500 kelvin light from HPS? Hotspots are not determined by color temperature, but by the reflector and or lens assembly.

  15. B-but, you have more maintenance, fuel costs and still costs a lot, especially in Europe for fuel ⛽. Hybrids are a stepping stone, sure, but not a long term one.

  16.  @KatieDawson3636  Sure, in a perfect world. We do not run a risk of running out of metals, because batteries are recyclable. Sure, if you have a hybrid with 80 km range, but most often they have less than 50 km range. And even at that, having to always plug them in is a hassle. I am however all for not buying HUGE cars, like Tesla S or another huge one, a small car is fine, 50-70 Kwh is okay 👍 Fast charging infrastructure is not too bad compared to the already existing network of pumps for fossil fueled cars, not to mention refineries, oil pipelines, drilling riggs, etc. We can do it.

  22.  @bowez9  And gasoline is hardly taxed in the US, especially not for it's environmental effects (which would put it at 10-15$ a gallon). Prices will decrease when there are more charging stations and less of a duopoly as it is now. Electricity is 0.05¢ a Kwh, so a full charge shouldn't be much more than 10$. Compared to 180-270$ for gasoline at a correct tax rate.

  26. That has more to do with the choice of LED fixture than with the core technology itself. There are hundreds or thousands of different designs to choose frome. Some bad, some much better than HPS.

  29. Cars make up 8% of world emissions, so no, it would drop emissions, and not to mention NOx, particulates and hydrocarbon emissions locally!!! EVs are the future, and not only for cars, but busses and trucks too.

And EPA is only in the US...worldwide with electrification and increasing renewables it will get closer and closer to 8%, and eventually 100% once fossil fuels are taxed correctly for their environmental damage.

  43.  @guillaumegaudin694  Nope, you are talking about chromatic aberation, and the lens of the human eye have changed so it won't happen, thats why you don't see colored blurr around objects
