Slight side note: Did anyone else spot that guy in the 1960’s clip of Batman, where a bald guy gets on the back of Bat Girl’s bike with her? . . . He looks exactly like Doctor Evil! Even the facial expression, outfit, everything. Just made me wonder . . . Inspiration perhaps.

@No-One-of-Consequence : I sure did enjoy it, thanks. And yes, I remember The Princess Bride very fondly. Peter Falk was the hook that made me stick around, but the rest of the movie was both a revelation and a joy to me. Yeah, I get it now. They say, “You should never meet your heroes,” but in your case, it seems to have worked out pretty well for you. That too gladdens my heart. I have to say, my memories of the Batman TV show are vague now, at best. But I loved Adam West’s portrayal, played for laughs and eye rolls. I recall a story he told about a particular scene, when the show launched, in a club or restaurant, I think? He had to say the line (something to the effect of) “I’ll just take a seat at the table over here. I don’t want to be conspicuous.” He is in his full Batman costume, in a place where everyone else is dressed, “normally.” He said he always knew, from his first reading of the script, if a line like that got a laugh, “then people get it,” and the show would be a success. Fortunately, they got it, and they had a hit on their hands. Now I’m just thinking about Batgirl and that costume. Oh boy. She was stunning, wasn’t she.
