Good news for the UK, France and America if Germany cannot be trusted to supply weapons over which the governments that have them don’t even get to decide how or when to use them. Oh, another Ukrainian just died, never mind eh, Mr Sholtz? Looking forward to the d*ck picks though. 🤷‍♂️

  2.  @usernamearrg  : Why is your comment not showing up in the main thread? “I wish people would grow up enough to realise,” that it’s not the humiliation of a squalid hotel sex romp that any German politician fears, but the way that footage would be used in evidence against them of their corruption! Especially when people learn where and WHEN these things occurred, like just as a Gasprom deal was being ratified? The Kruger Dunning effect can be devastating to people’s capacity to think clearly. Read more and talk less is the only known cure.

  4.  @unconventionalideas5683  : I’ve been screaming at my computer since the year 2001, distressed at the suicidally dumb decision to make Europe dependant upon their enemy, Russia, for vital energy supplies. It was so obvious that people were bribed and blackmailed in Germany, and that level of corruption doesn’t go on for 20 years without leaving a deep, deep footprint on the throat of the German people.

  6.  @usernamearrg  : Yes it would, wherever they are, whom ever they serve, of whatever political stripe. But it’s Germany’s biggest open secret that they were infiltrated (as were Americans and other European powers to a lesser extent) by Russian Oligarchs at every level. There are photographs and videos all over the media of the very same oligarchs who’s yachts and houses have been impounded, smiling with our top business leaders and politicians at glitzy events throughout the past 20 years. Some, like Roman Abramovich are well known to the security services and have been forced to work for our side or face poverty and jail forever, some are unknown to the public (and to Moscow) facing the same fate. Others are still using their money for super injunctions, so the press cannot even report on the allegations surrounding them, and some remain unknown to the world, except in The Kremlin. The problem is messy and complex because it’s been going on for so long and the energy from Moscow to Europe is the biggest outward manifestation of this appalling, anti-democratic corruption. Paul Massaro’s channel (a guy who’s been a guest on this show) examines the issue in detail, with experts who are well known on the international stage. As he reminds us frequently, some corruption is not even illegal, but just the sort of thing you don’t want the public to know, as it would result in ruined careers and lobbying for new laws. But, what I know for a certainty about Scholtz is that, when a powerful figure seems to be behaving irrationally, that is only because we’re not seeing the full picture. This is not just holding out for a deal, nor is it fear of Putin’s perception politically. We’re way past that as a rational explanation. Either Putin has power over several key players, or Scholtz is just ideologically set against diminishing returns on his Russian energy shares port folio. I can see no third explanation at a time when people are literally dying (innocent CHILDREN being bombed in their beds!) while Scholtz’s pusillanimity is costing lives!
