@larryo6874 : What people so often forget to add, when we’re looking at the cost of supporting Ukraine, is that suddenly withdrawing all that support wouldn’t achieve any savings, but would increase the cost to the western taxpayer 10 fold. Most of what we’re paying is through heating and petrol costs anyway, as the costs of these resources would be under government controls if it wasn’t for Putin’s war. It’s like being shot by an arrow, there’s no way to heal except by pulling it out through the other side; more pain before the pain ends and the healing begins. But, by god if we don’t shoot back, we’re dead!

This idiot Russian pundit sounds like some half drunk bloke down the pub! A view you might express privately is being broadcast just to warn all young Russians to stay away from Russia to avoid being drafted into an illegal war. And it’s hilarious how they invent new terms to excuse their failure like, “a contract army.” What kind of army isn’t under contract?

@robzombieshot : Yeah, he just thought he was sucking his own people dry and was happy to pass on Britain’s state secrets to Moscow in return for being left to party with the elites of Londongrad. All those billions and he’d painted himself into a corner of being hated by both sides. And when the British security services figured it was probably going to be a high risk situation for anyone who voiced criticism of Putin to go to bad faith peace talks, his name was probably high on their list of candidates. “Of course, we’re not making you go, but there’s still the matter of your flat in London and your bank accounts that would pay for this years donations to the Ukrainian cause, so it’s up to you sir.” Serves him right.
