  1. Yes, we should introduce a Stolen Valour act, using the American model as a template. Within that act of Parliament, criminalising such fraud, there should be equal punishment for casting aspersions on the validity of genuine medal winners. An equal and opposite offence, for casting doubt upon people who have served their country with such excellence that they have won a medal for it, should be seen as equally egregious, as it does precisely the same thing! To claim a genuine medal recipient is, “faking it,” is to, “steal,” their, “valour,” in the eyes of the public for the purposes of personal, political, or otherwise tangible gain! It is no less despicable!
