It’s hard to guess at how even more damning information will play out in the public’s consciousness. I would be equally unsurprised by people more or less ignoring this revelation as I would be by mass demonstrations. The friendly press will play it down, including the shamefully cowed BBC. So, while I hope you are born out on this, I’m not counting on it. To me, at this stage, it’s like one more, “hand grenade,” tossed into the trenches of the Somme. We all have battle fatigue. And we can only hope there will be people on the panel with the presence of mind to question Sunak directly about this when it’s his turn to face the music.
