He’s speaking about it in the context of being one of those more, “vulnerable,” people, who’s immune system could collapse if he got a strong variant, I think? I don’t think he was, “comparing,” his condition, so much as pointing out that he is one of those people who’s more likely to get really ill or die, from Covid.
I mean, Maybe he has a point? At this point, just wearing a mask seems to be a mark of Division, identifying, “difference,” and, “otherness,” which is pretty much the oxygen of the trump-far-wrong. Maybe it’s time to take that stick from them, if they’re just defying it wherever you go anyway? . . . Being responsible, POLITE, and wearing them where and when ASKED, is no problem for me. And stores, schools, cinemas, museums, hospitals, etc, etc, etc, all retain their lawful right to mandate masks on their premises, which should be obeyed, or people will just have to accept refusal of service, as before.
Getting vaccinated is far more important, and sometimes we must concede a battle in order to win the war? What do you think? ✌️

I get that, but I see his point too. We all have an opinion, and we’re all living with the consequences of the political decisions made, as a result of the science. But, is the, “science,” the only factor that should guide us? . . . If private businesses, schools, hospitals, etc, all retain the lawful right to mandate masks on their own premises; and the right to refuse service to trump trolls who refuse to wear them, so they can make a scene for a YouTube video, why not leave it at that? The Alt-Wrong are getting a lot of oxygen from, “othering,” and their prime objective is DIVISION. Masks are pretty much a marker of those who are not right wing conspiracy theorists and racists, making it easier for the right to be wrong, if you see what I mean?
I say, take that stick from them, and let’s focus all our efforts on vaccines, rather than giving fuel to the Ron DeSatan’s of this world? Let’s make little men like him, less relevant, and give private businesses the right to choose? With the power to enforce their choice, of course? What do you think? . . .

@Finians_Mancave : It’s like denouncing the common cold, right? It’s inevitable that you’ll catch one, and even after your body adapts, you catch one again, because it constantly mutates! I don’t think the anti-vaxers actually even know this? They will, every last one of them, surrender to the reality of Covid, either by catching it a third or fourth time, before their organ failure or scarred lung tissue ruins their lives, or by dying! But, every last one of them, left alive, WILL GET VACCINATED! That’s the only FACT I can promise them, as none-virologist myself! I think more should be made of that fact in the news? I honestly believe that many of these covid deniers don’t realise that it’s coming for them as surely as day follows night! ✌️

Well, it should be, “slanted,” the other way? Given that he’s more vulnerable than the rest of us, with an immune system that could collapse under the strain of a variant? I think that’s the point he’s trying to make? I have to admit, I see his argument. By leaving it to private businesses to decide what to do on their own property (so long as the law continues to support them when they mandate masks) it would be a way of taking the Alt-Wrong’s stick from them. It’s harder to, “other,” people, when you can’t tell them apart any more.
Ron DeSatan would have very little to whine about if masks were not a, “thing.” We really should focus our efforts on getting everyone vaccinated, and diverting resources towards that. Schools, hospitals and other public spaces will obviously keep masks in their premises, and we’ll have to live with it. But, we’ll all LOOK the same. I think America could do with more, “Saming,” and less, “Othering,” right now?
