  1. Britain still produces a very high calibre of journalist. And Fiona Hill is one of our finest exemplars. And it’s unusual to have commentators who aren’t just fixed on one aspect of the conflict, like military commentators, business types, etc. She has a granular knowledge and empathy with the small details of Ukrainian life, and a comprehensive understanding of the macro picture on the world stage, all couched in a firm grasp of the history of this region of the world. I just hope she keeps herself safe. Her value to us grunts is immense.

  3. Clearly, there are people inside Russia, launching most of these missiles. Over a thousand miles? Even Russia’s detection systems aren’t THAT broken? Blow up the Kremlin! Slava Ukraine!
