It could be a rouse for all we know? When two pathological liars start accusing each other, who’ya’ gunna’ trust? Three pathological liars, if we count Shoigu? No one really knows what Prigozhin’s troop numbers really are, but they’re obviously big enough for a coup attempt. Interesting that the standard sentence for an attempted coup is potentially lighter than the 15 years you get for holding up a blank piece of paper in front of a camera in any public space? Probably because any captured coup plotter is not expected to survive? I bet Putin regrets ignoring his own country’s, “constitution,” which outlaws private military organisations? Zelensky must be reaching for the popcorn about now? 🇺🇦✌️🇬🇧

And, whilst many, “war criminals got it easy after the war because they collaborated with the allies,” don’t forget that many war criminals were publicly tried and hanged for being indirectly connected to the Nazis, who never actually killed anyone, or gave any orders to facilitate murders. So, it’s swings and roundabouts, right? But that doesn’t justify criticism of those who call for justice, does it?

@RyzenShanks : We simply do not know how many troops Wagner has. Anyone claiming a specific number (including Prigozhin) is just pulling numbers out of their hat, because no one (again, including Prigozhin) is in a position to know. Having said that, you are right. Ukraine would not sully their hands with a favourable deal for the Nazis of Prigozhin’s murderers, rapists, thieves, torturers and all round medieval thugs. They may well come to a deal of some sort, if it means getting Russian jack boots out of Ukrainian territory? But they won’t let war criminals get away with war crimes, just to save a few weeks in a war they will win anyway. 🇺🇦✌️🇬🇧

@Patshes : You must be a Russian troll? An algorithm, perhaps? There are a vast number of places where Prigozhin might go, from Moscow (either as a victor or in chains?) to Sudan, where he already has entrenched bases, among others around the world, should he choose to flee and desert his men. But I promise you, Ukraine is NOT one of them. 🤦‍♂️

I wish you would be clear that your assertions are only speculations, based on the snippets of information we all get access to, but which do not give us the whole or complete picture? You simply cannot, “know,” who gets special treatment and who does not. You’re making educated guesses about that, in the same way the latter part of your comment owns up to.

@lolawants2008 : Interestingly, I’m wondering if Prigozhin has planned for an escape? He must know his odds are slim at best? So, he’ll have a long range helicopter or something, waiting to take him to Sudan, or some such god forsaken place where Russians have been doing Putin’s dirty work for years? Failing that, he may try to cut a deal with the Ukrainians? He’s made overtures in that direction before. They were a pack of lies, but I think he was hoping to get some sort of ball rolling by planting the idea with Ukraine, to suggest he could be bought? If he’s simply fallen for his own propaganda, we’ll know that shortly, as he’ll be dead. If he lives more than a couple of weeks, that will be because he had a Plan B all along. That’s my speculation, at least. Nothing more. But, oh boy, would it be a, “coup,” for the west if we were able to snag him and send him to The Hague where he belongs, behind bars. 🇺🇦✌️🇬🇧
