  1. You can’t pin that on Biden. History will respect him for what he did here, when all the facts are known. As we’re already starting to discover. Frankly, I’m amazed it went so well. And, don’t forget, a lot of people were offered their window, but refused it. Short of kidnapping them, there’s not a lot we can do about that.

  5. When the dust settles, people will see Biden did the right thing, ripping off the bandaid, and in the face of the utter betrayal of Afghani, “government,” did a first rate job. I didn’t know about the 14 different languages (or locally different dialects?) which is interesting. Seems there was no coalition within the country, let alone among our allies?

And I believe History will be a lot kinder to Biden’s administration for getting us out in the midst of the Afghan government’s abject betrayal, capitulation to the Taliban, stalling and sabotage of the exit plan, and its top echelons fleeing the country with all the money they stole from US aid funding. Frankly, I’m amazed they got out so cleanly! Sometimes, ripping off the bandaid is the kindest thing. Now we can divert $ billions into better, domestic causes. Isn’t that what everyone wanted?
