SPZ Aruba : “Relevant:” HAPPENING NOW, Putin. That, “Definition,” work for ya’? Your propaganda is twisted and inaccurate, but you KNOW that, don’t you. You forgot to say, “Whaddabout,” btw? Trump is TELLING us, AT RALLIES, that he’s IMPOTENT, because of MONEY (NONE of which we would ever see, btw) and you’re trying to tell us we should be OK with THAT? WTF is WRONG with you? We STILL haven’t settled up for 9/11 and you want to INVITE them to do it again, by showing them they can STILL get away with it? You’re a twisted little Putinista, if ever I saw one . . . SMH

Jemel Shahid : Exactly. But, it’s no different to them screaming, “Lock her up,” at the very same rallies that they whine about, “Due Process,” for Kavanaugh? Saudi A was kept off the “terrorist” Muslim Ban List, despite 911, and Trump has OPENLY SAID, he’s IMPOTENT, “‘Coz, money, right?” Next week, Putin will be announcing our Tax Policy, at this rate. Trump has SOLD America; not just our values, but our security and interests. He’s a TRAITOR

SPZ Aruba : If there is, “no safe choice,” then you should take the MORAL choice. This is NOT about YOUR financial interests? This is about rich people, getting richer, while flinging open the doors, to ANOTHER 911! This is OPEN CONSPIRACY, with Trump giving us the Saudi excuses BEFORE THEY DID, and then going to rallies to tell us he’s IMPOTENT, “coz, money, right?” America is being ROYALLY f**ked over, and Trump can’t even be BOTHERED to cover it up! Do you WANT another 911???

Mir0slava123 : But, the point is not that. The geopolitics, of why America needs to have a permanent, “surrounding influence,” over the Saudis; that they both protect and intimidate them; that their regime is highly unstable and could easily be couped into an extreme right Muslim hell, making their current circumstances look like Liberal Amsterdam, by comparison; and that the bottom line is always MONEY . . . NONE of that speaks to the point, which is that: without the Saudis, we NEVER would have had 9/11. And the message Trump has just given to the Saudi government, is that they can continue to buy off the extremists, by placating them with logistics, weaponry, MONEY, and whatever else they need, TO DO IT AGAIN.
You see that, right?

Mir0slava123 : They have been unstable for decades, but not in a way that most would assume. This, “oppressive regime,” that the west sees, is actually rather, “Liberal,” by Saudi standards. The King has replaced two princes in recent years, with administrative responsibilities; equivalent to a Prime Minister. And, women are getting driving licences and being allowed to go to cinemas, do knew types of jobs, like being doctors, for the first time, EVER.
There was never ANY threat of an Arab Spring, as this administration is having to placate the population who are largely uneasy with all this, “liberalisation,” at best; leaving many raging that their culture is being, “westernised,” and that their power is being undermined. The setup there is more akin to some kind of sci fi fantasy or Game of Thrones, scenario, with rival royal houses, battling for supremacy. And the best way to win allies, is to pander to the, “Conservatives,” with all the cash and family names that go back centuries. The complexities are endless and too numerous to list, here.
But, suffice to say; the simplest breakdown is that the US (with occasional help from Britain and France in particular, but also other UN countries) shields Saudi Arabia, which is viewed with either suspicion or hostility, by its neighbours. It uses that leverage to pressure the country into playing ball on western (particularly US) interests.
The balance has always been delicate, and the scapegoating of other countries, for 9/11 was a necessity, in order to maintain that balance. We have a snake by the tail, which is useful for keeping hostile nations at bay and enriching the top echelons of western powers. But, it BIGHTS, and its bight is lethal.
And, the very worst thing you can do with a pet like that, is to REWARD it, when it eats one of your own. The venom of that bight is only just starting to take effect, but it will be far more crippling than Trump will ever admit. Not only have we encouraged the viper to strike again, but the effect of its sting is about to poison us all. Wait and see
