26
most of us hope to die fast and not have to deal with it
10
@tz8785 or naval blockade to starve the whole country
9
that's only half a lightning, two engines and an ejector seat
9
and for that we got the Gallipoli campaign
7
@JackHGUK then why should we mind if the same poor admin means their inheritance goes to the monarchy
7
@vespelian5769 I am guessing for the British it was more of a shock due to them being an Island, up to then raiding was a coastal threat

3
how about you just give your money to the NHS
3
@franciswaters7043 well as the US Government also ignored that fact after it was finished its not a big surprise
3
and the armour will still protect you from bullets and shell fragments, ATGM's not so much but even the latest tanks are not ATGM proof
3
why should it be we are a monarchy the government works for the crown
2
people still die when you poke holes in them
2
Churchill was scraped straight after the war as well
2

2
@JoeBLOWFHB the UK used live nukes on the USA 24 times
2

1
someone builds a car park to make money and then the NHS comes along and wants to store there cars there of course they are going to be charged
1
no one in the UK expects to to survive a nuclear attack even our subs are supposed to head off to Australia after they empty their silos
1
city siege's were normal in all of history
1
civilians have almost always been targeted in war so this was hardly a first, Cities have been under siege and sacked from the start or they have been starved by Naval blockages from the air it was a first but then flight was a first the rest is still the same old events by different means
1

There are something like seven million unexploded landmines in Western Sahara and that's just the ones put down by the Moroccan army for WW2 One of the United Nations's missions estimated there are 19.7 million mines in the western desert of Egypt, So lots of mines still out there

1
So the north Koreans did not learn from the Germans and use torpedo nets in their defence sounds like it was a sitting duck compare to an active warship underway

@BaoNguyen-un1km Britain was the true enemy of the Americans between WW1 and WW2

silly of them trying to feed a starving nation than to upkeep an obsolete warship
1
you know that all government employees are taxed even those working in the tax office?
1
@charrogate which is what the goverment does charity and business is not the same thing, doctors get paid by the NHS with money not best wishes and if they dont get paid enough they go on strike and people die
1
@charrogate and what is wrong with that? if i had land that the army wanted to use i would charge them rent but it would not stop me buying a poppy
1
@charrogate by charging them rent? sorry i am just not getting it
1
@charrogate you think charities should stay at locations rent free? should all charity staff be volunteers or should some be paid? If you are a landlord are you banned from donating to charity?
1
Pre WW2 we were close allies with Japan the British trained the first Japanese naval carrier force
