They’re also complaining about being housed in tiny houses. And everything else. They even complained about being housed in a castle in France.

@free_at_last8141 Exactly. I was on welfare for a bit. If it hadn’t been for some external help, I’d never get off. The welfare industry fights tooth and nail to keep you on welfare.

@FRAME5RS A university in Canada did a great paper on how helping the homeless would save the city of Vancouver $800,000/year. This included building the shelters (stated more money could be saved by refurbishing unused buildings). But 90% of the money saving would be by reducing the police force since the number of officers would no longer be needed. Well the police union was having none of that. (It came out around 2000 and got squashed pretty damn quick.)
