I’ve lived in San Francisco since 1986. We have excellent modern hospitals and excellent Doctors, but those with very low assets use the Emergency Rooms as their Doctor’s offices. The city is so kind to anyone that wants to live here the systems get overwhelmed. New York City has a law that everyone gets help and housing. Fentanyl has gone crazy nationwide.
If the tables were reversed, I would be devastated.
Certain families will put all of their assets, cars, houses, cars, etc in one person’s name and everyone else goes around lining up to get free services because they have under $2,000 in assets.
Years ago when citizens of the USSR were coming here to live, lawyers taught them how to get the most out of the benefits available to them. Technically it’s not illegal, like taking advantage of every tax loophole possible.
I have no idea what my point is, but thank you for maybe reading this post.
