In Russia it is legal to beat your wife once a year as long as there are no broken bones, and since the police won't investigate domestic abuse complaints in practice "once a year" is how many times the man wants. Do you see now where the "look what you made me do! why did you keep provoking me?" excuses about invading Ukraine come from? It's a nation of wife beaters, what else did you expect? Superficially they may look like us, but they are most definitely not like us.
