  1. Ukraine is a sovereign nation, Russia doesn't get to dictate what trade deals Ukraine signs or what alliances it enters into. Maybe if Russia stopped attacking it's neighbours they would have better relations with Russia. Russia is the saying "the beatings will continue until morale improves" in nation-state form.

  2. Maybe if Russia stopped taking chunks out of it's non-NATO neighbours it's neighbours wouldn't be so eager to join NATO.

  3.  @Phoneixghost  «If you are referring to Eastern Ukraine and Crimea they are both predominately Russian» And Georgia, and Moldavia... and the threats to the Baltic countries and every other country that has more than a dozen Russian descendants in them. The lesson I take from this is that every country should expel it's Russian immigrants least they too one day become "the birthplace of our ancestors, an inseparable part of Mother Russia!" «Russia knew long ago invasion was going to inevitable to prevent NATO expansion» And this is why it's neighbour countries ask to join NATO. Russia is no more of a sovereign country than Ukraine. I wonder what your answer would be if Ukraine said "if Russia allies with Belarus we will be forced to invade". Russia doesn't get to dictate what other countries do, Russia is not a special snowflake country.
