Don't you see Putin is not at all the same, I believe he was simply eliminated and replaced by somebody else who looks almost like him to avoid Russian peace with Ukraine around April 2022.

@GegeDxD : You're omitting that Putin pressured Ukraine's pro-Russian President Yanukovych not to allow Ukraine to join the EU back in 2013 - going against the will of the Ukrainian Parliament and therefore the people. That is what led directly to massive pro-EU demonstrations in Kyiv, the Revolution of Dignity, the Ukrainian Parliament's subsequent vote to remove Yanukovych from office, and Yanukovych's flight to Russia. If Putin hadn't interfered with Ukrainian politics, there would have been no Revolution of Dignity, and no war. Putin created the whole situation, and is responsible for the roughly 1 million deaths in the completely unnecessary war.

@johannsebastian2681 : Incorrect. Crimea was invaded by Russia on 27 February 2014. Crimea was formally annexed by Russia on 18 March 2014. Minsk I Agreement was signed on 5 September 2014. Minsk II Agreement was signed on 12 February 2015. So Russian forces took control of both Crimea and Donbas before the first Minsk Agreement. All Russian attempts to rewrite history will fail. The world knows the truth.
