  1. Correction: Russia is fighting Ukraine only (no NATO military units are in combat). NATO is providing MILITARY aid to Ukraine (weapons, ammo, training). The EU is providing NON military aid to Ukraine (food, clothing, medical supplies etc). The UK is providing both (in small quantities).

Just because Turkey is a member of NATO doesn't guarantee that Turkey will fight Russia if NATO and Russia end up in a war. In 1914, Italy was in a military alliance with Germany - but Italy decided not to honour its treaty obligations when France declared war on Germany. Then in 1915, Italy actually joined the French side and attacked Germany's ally Austria-Hungary. If NATO and Russia go to war, Turkey is likely to join the side it thinks will win, regardless of treaty obligations - or declare neutrality.
