  1. Romania is a former ally of Nazi Germany. But so was the USSR. (The Soviet Union helped the Nazis conquer Poland in 1939.) So Russia is in no position to lecture Romania on its historical record!

From Wikipedia: “The governments of India, Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, have all claimed ownership of the Koh-i-Noor, demanding the diamond’s return ever since India gained independence from the British Empire in 1947. The British government insists the gem was obtained legally under the terms of the Last Treaty of Lahore and has rejected the claims.” So the first step is for India, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan to agree between themselves which one of them has the strongest rightful claim to the Koh-i-Noor. Until then, there’s nothing the UK can do. (Cutting the Koh-i-Noor into 4 separate pieces and giving one to each claimant would be a terrible idea, and an act of cultural vandalism, as it would destroy the historic jewel - the UK should categorically refuse to even consider that solution, despite the Taliban’s view that it would be better to destroy the Koh-i-Noor than leave it in British hands.)

  3.  @seanh6097  : Yes. The Ottoman Empire used the ancient Parthenon temple as a fortified position and as an ammunition dump during the Sixth Ottoman-Venetian War. In 1687, a Venetian artillery shell struck the Parthenon and blew up the ammunition store, destroying most of the ancient temple. The Ottomans didn’t value the Parthenon because Muslims didn’t value pre-Islamic history at that time. (Some, like the Taliban and Islamic State, still don’t, and actively try to destroy all evidence of pre-Islamic culture.)

  5.  @Worselol  : No it isn’t. There are tens of thousands of Wikipedia editors all around the world, and all editors have to provide written sources as evidence for their changes. That’s why authoritarian regimes ban Wikipedia, because they want to rewrite history according to their political agendas, and Wikipedia won’t allow them to.
