  1.  @waynetodd3620 : There was no US-led coup in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity in January 2014 happened because Ukraine’s President (under pressure from Russia ) unilaterally decided to overrule the vote of the Ukrainian Parliament to form closer links with the EU, and make a deal with Russia instead. The people of Ukraine weren’t prepared to accept that their President could just ignore the vote of Parliament and do whatever he wanted. (Unlike Russia, in which the Russian Parliament, the Duma, has become just a rubber stamp for Putin, approving any constitutional amendment the President wants without serious debate.)
