Boris Johnson, as Prime Minister, lied in the Commons many, many times, and was not sacked. Should the Speaker be held to a higher standard than the Prime Minister? If so, why?

The only reason that the SNP’s original motion wasn’t voted on in the Commons is because the Conservatives withdrew their own amendment and refused to oppose the Labour amendment. Hoyle is not to blame for the actions of the Conservative government.

@alancrowe7406 : The SNP need to present proof in the Supreme Court that the main purpose of Brexit was the Conservative Party’s desire to damage Scotland and hurt the Scottish people. Prove that in court, and then the Union Act of 1707 can be deemed to have been breached. Not before.

@andrewstevenson6540 : The latest election prediction on the Electoral Calculus website, based on analysis of UK opinion polls, has the SNP reduced from 48 seats in Westminster (in 2019) to only 19 after the next election, with nearly all of the difference predicted to go to Labour. The SNP got 4% of all votes in Great Britain in 2019. But according to the polls, that has now dropped to 3.3%. And a lot of the seats the SNP won in 2019 were won by narrow margins. That has the SNP very worried, and they are desperately attacking Labour at every opportunity. (Edit: the Electoral Calculus website had the closest prediction to the actual result of the 2019 general election, so it is highly recommended.)
