  1. He’s getting a fair trial. And if the jury finds him guilty, the judge will give him a fair sentence. Which would be a financial penalty - not jail. The punishment should suit the crime, and the crime is financial in nature. Trump is a billionaire, he can afford any financial penalty.

  2. America is a banana republic, yes. But at least it is still a republic. Russia isn’t a republic at all anymore - Putin has turned it into an empire with himself as Tsar Vladimir The Great in all but name.
