  3. I feel compelled to note that live road policing has effectively ended, and the realistic consequence if caught with a hooky or eligible plate is a £100 FPN and no endorsement. If you do get tugged with a... somehow unreadable... plate, just keep calm, present your info, and make noncommittal noises. If pushed, say that you'd better to speak to a solicitor before answering any questions. Don't babble yourself into a bigger charge.
