@Fir3 Eater The debt increased, but it's hard to say the reason it did was because Trump was incompetent or irresponsible. The CCP and their globalist allies released a bioweapon and Dem state and local governments around the country willfully shut down and destroyed the American economy. Then cronies within Congress doctored the stimulus bills to include a bunch of corporate handouts, foreign aid and other ideologically driven BS. Small businesses and the plebs wouldn't have gotten any help at all if he didn't sign off on those bills, despite most of the money not going to the people he wanted to support. The media and every other vehicle of propaganda was weaponized against him and he still needed to win a fair amount of independent votes to win reelection. He was put in an unwinnable situation, and that was the entire point. I just don't see how you can blame him for the increase in debt.

@Fir3 Eater Sure, his predecessors helped create the initial deficit with wars, enabling shady bankers to ruin the economy, and then bailing them out. Spending should obviously be cut, but there is only so much a President can do, and that is by constitutional design. The previous deficit is really besides the point though. We're talking about who is to blame for the debt increase during TRUMP's administration. The vast majority of debt increase under Trump occurred because of the COVID stimulus bills, which were grossly inflated and filled with pork, earmarks, riders, foreign aid, special interest payouts, etc. The people who are really at fault are the establishment career politician puppets within Congress. They are the ones who authored these bills, and they designed them to benefit their corrupt donor class and their own political interests, not the interests of the average American. Trump was put in the position of either vetoing these corrupt bills and giving no relief to the people who he wanted to relieve, or signing these corrupt bills and giving relief to the people who he wanted to relieve, even though most of the money went to scumbag billionaires, activist groups and foreign countries. He chose the latter, which is what any politician who wants to get reelected is de facto required to do.
