  1. Socialists are inexplicably idiotic. They think they'll raise the minimum wage and then the corporations and business owners will just absorb that profit loss. No. They will lay people off, cut hours, and/or just pass along the cost to the consumer. I went to a gentrified Mexican restaurant when I was back in CA last year and they actually put a line item on my check (3% of my bill) that they called a "healthcare surcharge." I asked my waitress what it was and she said that after ACA, the owner decided to just start putting a surcharge for their healthcare on the bill instead of raising prices for menu items. I was almost impressed by the audacity of doing something like that, but the self-righteousness and hypocrisy of these people is also dangerous, given that the business owner is a Hispanic woman who almost certainly votes Democrat and therefore supports socialistic healthcare schemes like the ACA.
