  3. A little assistance? "Greedy American capitalists" have been propping up and subsidizing PR since 1898. If we "kicked them to the street," it would have happened already and they would have descended into a Third World Hell project already just like every other Caribbean nation.

  8. My only point in highlighting his civic nationalist position was to illustrate that he doesn't have any racial or ethnic motive to keep PR from gaining statehood.
