  1.  daUser666  The NRA and most gun rights activists do not disagree with very limited and specific infringements. The key to remember is that it is a slippery slope. The right to free speech also has some limitations (defamation, threats of violence, etc.) that free speech activists accept. But the definition of "public safety" can be manipulated to any agenda, just as the definition of "hate speech" can be manipulated to any agenda. Our rights become more and more watered down as these overreaches occur, and dangerous precedents are set. The more liberty, the better. That should always be the default.

  2.  Max Raider  Agreed. But that is still technically infringement of the people's right to bear arms. There are some infringements that are universally accepted for the 1st and 2nd amendments. That's all I'm saying.
