  1. Military service is mandatory in Israel, so I would imagine most Israeli-Canadians either are or were soldiers, at least for a time.

  2. As a potential target, you're only a soldier when you're actively serving, not every moment of your life. That's especially true in countries like Israel that have mandatory military service for everyone.
