@mefisto05s.20 Brazil is a newly industralised country, they always had the opportunities to progress to high income status but they didn't. Their social indicators are still good and better than India.

Wait till you find out that most of the world is neutral on the Ukraine War and does not want to take part in it. The Global South wants nothing to do with it.
4
@mefisto05s.20 Notice how you didn't provide a response that supposedly corrects these facts you claim are "incorrect"?
4
@mefisto05s.20 Nothing vague and incorrect about what I said.
4
@Learningram It doesn't because India's top 10% own most of the country's wealth.
2
@dancingcar8974 Not you crying lmao
2
@dancingcar8974 You're so triggered lmaooooo, this is so funny to me. I'm laughing and you're behind that computer or phone so angry and furious with what I said
2
@tuffnutvalo6717 and yes I do believe India is running out of time. India's leaders consistently fail to see this but if people think India has an infinite amount of time to develop, then they are severely mistaken. Not everything is condescension or hate. Not everybody is out to get you.
2
@tuffnutvalo6717 I can tell you are offended by my statements but everything I said was the truth. Your comment consists of a whole lot of words but there is no clear point to it.
2
Y'all can never ever take criticism, this is why India is lagging behind.
2
@off_grid_javelin No, India will run out of time. Economic growth isn't infinite. India wasted a lot of time and now they're on the cusp of a demographic crisis.
2
@off_grid_javelin India started in 1990 and they don't have much time left. They have wasted so many opportunities and continue to waste them. It's just talk but never action.
2
@mefisto05s.20 Yes it is. Brazil is just another example of a middle income trapped nation. They have the opportunities but they don't use them.
2
😐😐

What's the difference though? India's fertility rate is already below replacement level as of 2021 (2.0) and in the urban areas, which is where most of the educated live, their fertility rate is 1.6. So the average Indian woman is not having enough babies so there is no harm done in encouraging all women to enter the workforce. They don't have much time left anyway with their shocking demographic projections and brain drain.
1
@Kevin-fq3zh They're the rich ones but it's true that many, especially the men who live in that country, are overly patriotic and nationalistic. Too much of that does nothing good for a country. I think this is part of the reason why India can't progress because they can't criticise themselves and understand their flaws. Always get defensive, never self reflective.
1
In my opinion, India is lagging behind because of democracy.
1
@reddragon100 Yeah and that's what's problematic about India. There are nationalists in India who can't get along with their neighbours because they believe those neighbouring countries belong to them. It's just like China.
1
Low standards? You think being compared to China is low? Are you not aware that China is light years ahead of India at this very moment? Be humble.
1
@off_grid_javelin India is still incredibly poor but their fertility rate is now below replacement level. Their urban fertility rate which is where most of the educated people live stands at 1.6. Their population will only grow for a couple ore decades before it reaches its peak. On top of that, they will be dealing with an aging population by the middle of this century. They don't have enough jobs for their educated so all of the young people leave the country. So India will also be suffering from chronic brain drain. None of that helps a developing country trying to become rich. India will probably become a middle income trapped nation.
1
@indiasuperclean6969 What do you think you're even achieving by spamming everybody's notifications with this? You must be from Pakistan which is very funny because to us, you and Indians are all the same... if not worse so what now?
1
@balajeepratham8200 India's economic rise benefits the ultrarich like the Ambanis and Adanis. They're the face of India's economic rise, not the average Indians you see here posting comments online. India's rise is lop sided because it only benefits a small portion of the country.
1
@balajeepratham8200 No because the US is a high income nation, India is not. India is still a lower middle income nation where its high economic growth rate hasn't changed the living standards for the poorest people of India's population.
1
@dancingcar8974 Not you getting offended at what I said (aka the truth)
1
@dancingcar8974 Triggered because I stated facts lmaooooooooooooooooooooooo
1
@dancingcar8974 If you weren't triggered you wouldn't be replying to me like this. Lmaoooooooooooooooooooooo
1
@dancingcar8974 You're the one barking at me. If you're upset with what I said, come out and say it instead of being passive aggressive. 💀
1
@dancingcar8974 This man is triggered by what I said but doesn't have the ability to address his concerns lmaooooooooooo
1
@dancingcar8974 Firstly, everything I stated is the truth. Seethe, cry and cope. Secondly, you say you don't want to waste time but you're wasting your time replying to me with clown emojis. The irony and foolery... Nationalists and their pathetic behaviour.
1
@dancingcar8974 You don't know what to say to me because everything I stated was a fact. So, you come here become passive aggressive under the impression that you're doing something but you're not. You're hurt by the facts that were stated so now you're throwing a tantrum. Lmaoooo Indian nationalists, they're all the same😂😂
1
@dancingcar8974 Lmaooo the Indian nationalist is so triggered
1
@dancingcar8974 Still triggered lol
1
@dancingcar8974 You are so triggered by what I said about India. Nationalists make me laugh. Deep down you know what I said is true, that's why you're resorting to whatever this is lmaooooooo.
1
Only 10% of India's population is rich, they're the ones that hold most of the country's wealth. All those Indian billionaires we see on international rankings are the ones who own the country's wealth. The average citizen is far from rich.
1
Well India's fertility rate is already below replacement level, so don't expect them to have a population explosion this century.
1
It also means India won't ever fully develop and that's exactly what the US wants.
1
Agreed.
1
South Korea's Miracle on the Han River (Korean economic miracle) began under the dictatorship of Park Chung-hee. Asia's economic success stories begin under totalitarianism or authoritarian-leaning figures. Developing democratic Asian countries don't succeed. This is why India is lagging behind.
1
Not just the US, elsewhere as well. They don't have the opportunities in their own country. India has a job crisis, not enough jobs for their university graduates so all they all leave.
1
With the way they're going, they're probably going to get stuck in the middle income trap. They care way too much about the wrong things. Their market is not competitive enough and they're continuously failing to close the gap between rich and poor. The top 10% of India's population holds 77% of the country's wealth. That's proof that the country will never get anywhere unless they change things. They don't want to hear this though.
1
@dragonfire3727 Getting stuck as a middle income nation is not a good thing. South Africa is stuck, Brazil is stuck... both of these countries are not model nations. If people have the chance, they will leave. Malaysia is a middle income nation, close to becoming a high income nation in the next couple of years but they have issues that need to be addressed before they can pass the threshold. If they don't address these things they risk getting stuck in the middle income trap and educated people don't want to live in a middle income country. So people will leave which is what is happening to Malaysia and the World Bank issued a warning to Malaysia that they will fail to reach high income status if they don't stop the brain drain.
1
@dragonfire3727 Thailand is another country described as being stuck in the middle income trap. A middle income nation is not rich and Thailand is struggling today with low fertility, a shrinking workforce and aging population. These are things developed countries face, not a middle income nation. You can't survive these things as a middle income nation.
1
@dragonfire3727 Upper middle income countries are still poor, they just don't have large populations of poor people. Thailand still has poor people and so does Malaysia. These countries struggle to take care of their growing elderly populations and shrinking workforces because they are not rich. The goal of every country should be to reach high income status.
1
@balajeepratham8200 India is already a middle income country, just a lower middle income country but it's nowhere near reaching upper middle income status.
1
When they begin to threaten US economic hegemony, in the way China is doing now, is when India will become a threat.
1
@ambujverma695 It's true
1
@balajeepratham8200 Yes but India suffers from extreme wealth disparity in comparison to most other countries in the world. It ranks number 3 in terms of wealth inequality.
1
@balajeepratham8200 The average Indian is not benefiting from India's economic growth.
1
@k7lu4 5 million out of 1.4 billion people of which the IT industry is centred around the south of the country and not anywhere in the north, which is where most of the poor people live. India's rise is uneven... it only benefits a small portion of the country.
1
@k7lu4 Those aren't the centres for the IT industry in India, you know exactly what I meant.
1
Well when India's top 10% own most of the country's wealth, that's not very surprising.
1
@reddragon100 It's not though. India places at 3
1
The cheap labour is in Asia
1
Well
1
@mefisto05s.20 Well it will be because it's been stuck as a lower middle income nation for so long, still hasn't progressed to upper middle income status and they can't plug their catastrophic brain drain.
