@EdwardPhilips9700 International law obligates warnings "unless circumstances do not permit". As with so many things in law, there is no universally agreed upon meaning of that phrase. There is no general prohibition on killing non-combatants. This wouldn't make sense, because leaders in conflicts are always effectively non-combatants themselves.

@EdwardPhilips9700 Then tell me exactly which article in which treaty you think states that all killings of non-combatants are war crimes. You were already wrong about article 57 of Additional Protocol 1 of the Geneva Convention that mandates advanced warnings - but not always.

@EdwardPhilips9700 No, buddy. I'm just telling you the way it is. And this isn't about civilians in Gaza. Just because you think something is morally wrong or should be a war crime doesn't mean it is a war crime in international law.

Hezbollah is a very large organization. It's almost like a state within a state, and they a military but many civilian parts as well. They run hospitals, news services, schools, ... and allegedly are deep in international drug trafficking.
