Groningen has intersections where all directions for bikes go green simultaneously. In most places they go per direction alongside the cars, but there they switch between cars and bikes.

@Adiodevil Officially the right of way is the same as on an unprotected intersection. You yield to those coming from your right and those going straight. Though of course in practice the bikes just zip together somehow.

This is a bit of a misconception. The car driver is by default liable, regardless of who is at fault. That means he has to pay for the damages, but that does not mean he was at fault. Very often it can't be determined who - if anyone - was at fault (or it simple isn't determined, because most accidents are not worth the effort). If a car driver can prove the cyclist was at fault, he can get rid of the liability.
