I remember back when you were called a conspiracy theorist if you suggested they would issue vaccination passports. Back in the good old days a few months ago.

What is up with that weird cut at 0:21?

Critics also argue this would pressure people into vaccination, which could violate the right to integrity of the body, and also might lower vaccination willingness. Critics such as the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, who adopted this in resolution 2361. That seems like a bit more noteworthy than just the nameless "critics" that fear it could violate data protection laws that you mention here.

@derunfassbarebielecki Many people in the EU work in another country than they live in. For them it would be, because they would effectively be forced to get vaccinated. And the right to integrity of the body means making your own decision about that.

@mimovil8730 That is true, but we are citizens of the EU and can travel freely within the Schengen zone. And many people do because they work across borders. This would limit their rights unless they get vaccinated.

@IllIlllI There are always people dying.
1
@IllIlllI To put this in some perspective: 3 times as many people die from smoking each year than have died so far from covid-19. Governments can use any excuse to take away human rights. We shouldn't allow that.

@taekatanahu635 Because it is a fundamental human right. And I'm not only concerned about myself.

@taekatanahu635 And in case you're wondering why the integrity of one's own body is a human right, I suggest you do some reading on the Nuremberg trials. Now, before you argue this is just a vaccine, I suggest convincing the victims of Pandremix that vaccines should be mandated. We can't allow a virus, let alone one that is hardly any worse than a bad influenza virus, be used as excuse to strip us from our rights.

That happens a lot. It has to do with how those things are counted. Tom Scott has a video called "why computers sometimes can't count" in which he explains it if you are interested. But it's completely normal.
