they are only "revenge attacks" for the likes of behind-the-curve dunces like Gulliver. Ukraine and Russia are both preparing for a Ukrainian offensive in the south, target Mariupol, so Russia needs to stall the massive troop and weapons movement by train, hence attacking the power stations and rail lines so that Ukraine can't use the infrastructure needed to regroup. Come on DW, think!

Gulliver, Russia gave up on Izyum as a staging ground for any advances MONTHS ago! ALL Russia's focus has been on Donetsk and Bakhmut. Izyum became a useless liability ever since Russia got stalled in Sherwood Forest, hence Russia wasn't committed to keeping Izyum. Why do you think Russia withdrew? The urgent need for Russia is to win the Donetsk, and Izyum was no help in that aim. Come on, keep up to date!
