  1. because Ukraine has already lost huge parts of its country and can do nothing to retake them. but Ukraine can save hundreds of thousands of its own lives by agreeing to peace. just see what happened in Syria to see how things will turn out.

  2. Russia is so much closer to achieving its objectives than Ukraine is to achieving its objectives. Time is on Russia's side too.

  3.  @ulrichturke8964  1) Ukraine has to keep begging for weapons and money because it has intermittent support, not constant support, and it is support that is fading with time. 2) there are no heavy weapons to be delivered. NATO is basically tapped out. 3) No evidence that Russia is running out of weapons (yawn, we have been hearing this since March) 4) Russia has teamed up with fellow-sanctioned nations N Korea and Iran, oh and boy doesn't revenge on the West feel so sweet for those guys! 5) Ukraine will lose. just like Syria and Afghanistan, the west will be humiliated.
