an "incompetent force" that is winning! Do you envy the national solidarity of the DPR and LPR too, as they battle relentlessly for their homelands?

@SuperCaelia You mean Soviets?

@volo7877 Based on the US performance in Kabul, when a bunch of goat herders strolled into town, and the US in pure panic left behind billions of dollars worth of equipment, saw 13 of its troops massacred, managed to drone attack to death an innocent Afghan family and, in short, totally humiliate itself, I would say almost any military operation in the world right now would wipe out a US force. agreed?

@kirkpatrick7475 Russia created the Soviet Union, but in so doing it meant the Soviets, those who invaded Afghanistan, were a whole host of ethnicities, from Estonian to Khirghiz, not just Russians, obviously.

oh wait, did he say the reason there are no grain shipments is because of Ukraine's mines along the coast and its distrust of Russian promises? So, a Russian blockade is now NOT the problem! Big shift in narrative, DW. Glad to see the truth gradually seeping into your reporting. And smaller shipments of grain coming out of the smaller Ukrainian Danube port...so NO Russian blockade problems there! Finally, we can ditch the Russian blockade lie.

@volo7877 "all Ukraine should be theirs now". why would Russia want all Ukraine? Not one of Russia's objectives

@kirkpatrick7475 so there was no Ukrainian supplied food going to the Soviet army? All the food supplied to the Soviet army came from Russia? Sure about that? Not one single potato came from Latvia? sure?
2
@kirkpatrick7475 was there even ONE single general in the Soviet army who was from one of the Soviet republics other than the RSFSR? hmmmm

Western aid, weapons and ammo are drying up because more and more people in the West are fed up of bailing out Ukraine, and because the West is bankrupt and out of weapons.

@SuperCaelia not so sure about that one. USSR was never a particularly competent, adept flexible machine in war or peace. Russia is a pretty efficient modern society. Hard to compare.
1
@mariusmihai1292 efficient enough to be an energy exporter. efficient enough to feed itself. efficient enough to develop the first covid vaccine. efficient enough to deal with being the most sanctioned nation in history. efficient enough to secure cooperation with the whole globe minus the deluded West. efficient enough to demilitarize the West.

@kirkpatrick7475 "it doesn't matter where they come from?" hmmm, try telling that to Aslin and Pinner! Their life is about to end PURELY based on where they come from!
1
@volo7877 Keep in mind it took the US a month and a half to fully capture Fallujah, against rag tag al Qaeda! Urban warfare is a slow grinding process, no matter who is fighting.

@darinmeritt3790 what is?
1
@darinmeritt3790 Naah, drumming home the truth that the MSM in the West refuse to acknowledge is the way to go.

@gio-ko7kf No one knows how many troops Russia has lost, nor the DPR, nor the LPR, nor the Chechens, nor the Ukrainians. That would include YOU. You don't know either. We have an idea of the horrendous losses of the Ukrainians because they have told us, but their own figures vary enormously. So you can quit guessing.

@gio-ko7kf I would expect Russian authorities to ban published lists of those dead in battle. Think you will find such a measure is not uniquely Russian, nor uniquely totalitarian.
