  1. The UN is charged with not taking sides, but to seek a peaceful solution to conflicts. In this regard, Lavrov is right. The UN has done NOTHING to promote peace in the Ukraine conflict. Finally, the UN is called out for being a toady to the West. Well said, Lavrov.

  2. Russia is just copying the USA's "rules based international order" as seen in Serbia, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria etc etc. Russia sees that the West is happy to break the UN Charter repeatedly, so Russia has decided to join the party.
