I'm curious as to your age, because it was like this and worse in the 80s and 90s. Unless you were in a small rural area with a tiny population. My oldest brother had stomach issues (still does to this day) due to stress, my other brother has migraines because he was beaten up all the time, and I was almost r@ped. That was elementary. You were 40 times more likely to get stabbed, shot, or killed in school compared to now, though that gap in certain areas is certainly closing rapidly. I really want to know when school was safe, because it hasn't been as long as I've been alive. Edit: I grew up in a rural area in the south with a population of around 20,000 just so nobody thinks it was a big city or something. My experience wasn't unique at the time either.
