@jakesorrentino7230 Death penalty cases have required appeals. That's why it takes so long. There's zero proven instances that it's been wrong in fairly recent history. Don't confuse people taking plea deals with wrongfully convicted death sentence cases.

The one time I called for jury duty I wanted it so bad. It was a murder case with a child witness. Drama for days! Unfortunately the state prosecutor was my cousin so I was recused.

@DabNaggit That's a single witness out of 3. The other 2 was his girlfriend and the guy he sold the laptop to that he admitted he sold to him. Even if the one lied, that has no bearing on the other 2. You're arguing everyone but him is lying. That's never a good strategy.

@trashpanda3837 OMG! They couldn't replicate DNA at the time. Small samples couldn't be tested. If a hair didn't have an intact folical, they couldn't test it. You're either intentionality ignoring the different in technology or completely ignorant. He wore gloves anyway so unless he cut himself there would be no DNA on the knife anyway. Edit: If there was hair, it would have been preserved and used in court to prove it's similar. So why didn't the defense test it? Maybe because there was no hair.

 @Roger-fs5yo I'm from Arkansas. Missouri isn't considered the South. Southern part maybe, but not the rest. Missouri did not succeed so not part of the South.
