Is this your first time in a comment section? You make a comment. It can have nothing to do with the video, and people respond TO that comment. Thus, a discussion is created around that topic. This particular topic is a joke someone made. So the discussion would be if it's funny or not. I find it honestly really weird that you think it's an audience's job to defend arguments made by a creator. It's a very parasocial position. He's not my friend to defend nor does he require me to defend him. He either made his argument or he didn't to the audience. I especially love how you brought in legal requirements like a comment section is a court of law while crying about people saying something irrelevant to what you've determined the discussion should be.

  2. They did. Since there was no harm yet, there were no grounds. Several groups within the Republican party in those states attempted them. Pennsylvania in particular they attempted to get that law removed because it was unconstitutional. It has since been found to be but nobody would rule on it before the election. Edit: The courts said since Republicans voted for it they had no grounds to contest it later.
