That's how we ended up with Roe in the first place instead of letting it be settled naturally within the system. It's because it was legislated from the bench that caused the massive division. That's why gay marriage is no longer a big issue to either side because the court waited until it was widely accepted. The abortion decision changed the law in every state overnight.
