It's all good! I followed Huffington Post at one time. Then I realized they are nuts when they had an article that if you regret doing it the day after it's r*pe. That was around gamergate time period.

@L-Thatcher Except monarchies weren't created by England. They existed in a lot of places. It wasn't an experiment. The US is still referred to as the great experiment. That was the point the poster was trying to make.

So he's really a capitalist. Otherwise he'd do it all for free or at the lowest fee a speaker makes in the US. His books would also only be priced at the point there is zero profit.

@lukesalazar9283 It's hard to gauge. China sets their poverty level at $1.90 US per day. However that is the base amount used for lower GDP countries that are low in development. The minimum for China should be set at around $5.50 per day. By that metric, it would be around the 50% area or more. They have announced they have eliminated poverty, but it cost them $880 billion and isn't sustainable. That doesn't matter to the CCP though. Only being able to say it matters even if it's only reality for a month. If you didn't grow up understanding how communist propaganda works, it's nearly impossible to explain the depths of it. The only thing you can almost 100% count on is what they are saying is false because they do things like lower what is "poverty" to look good.

@richardunderwood9683 No they really didn't. Stalin courted Hitler. He even fired Jews in his cabinet to try to draw his attention. It worked because they reached an agreement to invade Poland after 3 days of having just met. Don't try to push Putin's revisionist history and not expect pushback. Had Stalin not been infatuated with Hitler and his power, WWII could have never been. It was that treaty that allowed Germany to focus on Europe because he didn't have to worry about Russia. Stalin took Germany's invasion on a personal level because he thought they were friends. It was the last time he trusted anyone.

@ybyby3rdday I have never seen one that wasn't a scam on some level even the "good" ones like Avon.

@StarWarsomania WWI was one of the stupidest things ever. All because of treaties every country in the world went to war. It's why the US stayed out of WWII so long and went isolationist.

YouTube Account They need to meet my father-in-law then. He hasn't had an uninterrupted vacation in years. He's in upper management for the company that runs the Sandmann hotels in Canada and a whole lot of other stuff.

@charlescannon2469 Vietnam did it and they are the only one that did. However, "you give everyone what they need to survive and they produce more" didn't happen either time. They were so positive it would work, they did it twice. Both times production dropped to the point they had to import rice to be able to feed the population. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal. Unfortunately it also causes massive inflation. It rose to up to 900% meaning their money was worthless and they couldn't afford to import rice. After the second attempt they went to a capitalist economy. People that lived through both much prefer it now. I'm going to nitpick here. They weren't fighting against oppression from capitalism. Capitalism is just an economic system and has nothing to do with the social system. Don't confuse the two like you did. The reason it's not separated in Communist countries is because the government controls everything. The government, society, and the economy. EVERYTHING. He even noted in the video that a dictatorship that had a capitalist economy would grow exponentially just like China did when it adopted a more capitalist one. There would still be oppression because the government is separate from the economy. Edit: For someone that's "not a commie", you're blaming a capitalist economy for things governments do like one.

When it comes to 80s hair bands, why mess with perfection? Sorry, I'm an 80s kid and loved every minute of it

Very correct! Good on you! He was indeed used as a tool to distract Russia and undermine them.

Russia wasn't in WWI very much. They had their hands full with Lenin. He was strategically used to disrupt and distract Russia during the war.

Yes. The Danish pretty much kicked it all out since it almost caused economic collapse. They have a more free economy than the US now.

I would hope he thinks so since it made him rich.

He was such an egomaniac, he believed he was a better tactician than his generals so he insisted on leading it. They did much better once he finally conceded control.

@juanmanuel3418 Your 1 and 3 are the same argument just worded differently.

That was addressed by another comment. Not really because if you didn't do what the party wanted, you didn't control a company. Most had to produce quotas for the government. If they failed, they were replaced. That's not how capitalism works. That's how Hitler was able to build his military and science projects so quickly.

How can someone be brainwashed for centuries? Humans don't live that long. The internet exists so it should be real easy to disprove with verifiable data that capitalism is bad vs Communism.
