It was the Western Allies that created the first front. And at the time the Soviets were supplying the NAZIs. It was the Soviets who created a second front after being attacked by the NAZIs. And the first or Western front never disappeared. Of course in MANPOWER terrms it was small, but in terms of RESOURCES and INDUSTRY it drew much of the NAZI war effoort.
