I witnessed a genuine incident in my town centre just days back where a boy of around 4 years of age was clearly separated from his parents ... he was in a lot of distress,crying & calling out for his 'mama'.In the few short minutes he was alone a number of people approached him,(male & female of varying ages),to ask what was wrong but it was obvious English wasn't his 1st language.Thankfully his parents exited a nearby shop & they were reunited with their son.What was shocking was the reaction of the parents,they were angry with the child ... & they offered not one word of thanks to those who were concerned! This clip has little,if any,basis in realism.Though I will watch the programme this evening.There are any number of reasons/excuses why folk today don't become involved ... not least from the male perspective in that a male might think he would be perceived as a possible child snatcher!
