  1. Such a tragedy though mercifully rare.Whilst we're remembering this woman we should also try to spare a thought for the student who stabbed her & his family.Hopefully this awful act isn't a forerunner of things to come.

  2. Joan Hall ... and where did I say there WAS any 'excuse' for what he did?! I'm not a part of the 'hang 'em high' mindset,& few details have emerged yet so we can't or shouldn't speculate as to what led to this tragedy.Or should we just by-pass the judicial process altogether &  take this young lad out into the street & lynch him? Would that satisfy you?!

  3. ***** ... as the OP I can say that you're correct.It's far too simpistic to state 'oh the kid was 12,or 15 etc,he/she should know right from wrong at that age'.Yes,on the surface we'd like to believe a kid of that age WOULD know right from wrong,but your point about other 'determinants' is spot on.
