Right analogy. Umbrella is used by individuals. Each one has to repair his/her umbrella herself. In this case each should ( should have) follow(ed) appropriate COVID behavior.

@rosaborrajo8540 i presume you are not Indian. In hindsight you are right. In the dynamics of Indian politics and rules I am not sure who could have mandated the cancellation of the rallies. The Kumbh is another kettle of fish. Surely people could have been dissuaded from attending the event. India, a huge country , with 13369 lakh people is a difficult country to govern. A Pandemic does not help in the efforts either.

@Robertsmith001 yes, agree . China is not a democracy and let us be honest, that matters. Even US is keeping its nose above water because of lower population and greater resources. Per caita gdp $63453 against $2191of India with less than 1/3 rd the population. Africa is a Continent with many small countries. Where really is the comparison? I have lived in the US and in India and visited Africa and China. India is unique, believe me.
